  • Family Law

The choices you make in family law proceedings can affect you the rest of your life.  Our firm offers a compassionate, yet effective resource to individuals in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and property division cases. Our attorneys take the time to educate clients on the law, available options, and the financial costs so that our clients can make the best decision for their needs.  While we advocate working outside the courtroom where possible to resolve disputes, our attorneys are experienced litigators and skilled at presenting each client’s position to our judicial officers where needed. Both Ms. Clark and Ms. Briggs are recognized certified Family Law Specialists.

  • Probate and Administration of Decedent’s Estates

The Probate Court necessarily oversees the division of property interests of an individual who has died without advanced planning.   Court supervision can occur whether or not the deceased leaves a will (testate) or leaves no will (intestate).  It is important to secure timely, trustworthy advice when the death of a family member or loved one occurs.  Our attorneys will reassure you as to the appropriate steps to take and the best legal action to bring resolution for our probate and administration clients.

  • Landlord-Tenant Law

Our firm’s attorneys assist our clients in a variety of ways.  In addition to handling eviction matters in court, our attorneys are also skilled in drafting lease agreements, negotiating resolutions to conflict, and advising clients in these relationships.

Most of our work is in assisting landlords evict tenants when they breach their rental agreement. In these matters, we are committed to representing our landlord clients through each phase of the eviction process, including preparation and service of initial notices, drafting of the complaint, representing our clients in court, and enforcing the judgments we obtain.

  • Estate Planning

We offer a range of services to help clients navigate estate, financial, and medical planning for future life events.   An initial reduced-fee meeting gives our clients an overview of the process and allows us to explain how the law would be applied in each individual’s situation.  We are able to offer suggestions and alternatives for avoiding unwanted consequences and to make plans with our clients accordingly.  While we provide a range of assistance and document preparation services, the most typically requested include preparation of wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.
